One of my favorite memories was when I was on summer vacation with my best friend Stephanie. We went to her grandparents’ house in Eastern Washington, which is about a 2 and a half hour drive from where I live in Seattle. Her grandparents live on a lake, and her aunt also lives there. Her aunt has a speedboat, so we liked to go out on the boat to ride around, lay in the sun, and practice water sports like knee-boarding, wakeboarding, inner tubing, and water-skiing. One of my favorite memories was when we were out relaxing on the boat with Stephanie’s family and a song came on the radio – Black Water by the Doobie Brothers. It was a really happy moment because, although I had never heard the song before, her whole family started singing along to the different parts in the song. It was really nice to be on the boat, in the sunshine, watching everyone smile and laugh while they sang.
