Tina is talking about a movie.

One of my favorite dramatic films that I saw for the first time this year is called, in English, “Where do we go now?” It was released in 2011. The original title is French, actually, “Et Maintenant, on va où?” It was directed by Nadine Labaki, and the film features her as one of the main characters. It is a drama about women in a small village in Lebanon. The village has a blend of Christian and Muslim inhabitants, and they live together peacefully until there is a religious war in the surrounding areas in their country. The women in the village from both religions work together to try to ease religious tensions within their town, and prevent their sons and husbands from entering in the war. The reason I love this film is the way that it is serious at times, but very funny and lighthearted at times… it balances a mix of emotions, from joy to sadness, and is a great depiction of the power of persuasion as demonstrated by the women in the village, who are motivated to save their loved ones from going to war.
