Tell me about your trip to New York City (level B2)

John: Hey, Sarah! Welcome back. I can’t wait to hear about your trip to New York City!

Sarah: Hi, John! It was incredible. New York is so diversediversifiée and full of energy. I feel like I barely scratched the surface.

John: How long did you stay?

Sarah: We spent five days there, but honestly, it flew byfiler à toute vitesse. You really need at least a week to trulyvéritablement immerseimmerger yourself in the city.

John: How was the flightvol?

Sarah: Surprisingly good. The airline was great, and the staff were very attentiveattentionnés. However, the eight hours in the air felt a bit tediouslong et ennuyeux.

John: Was the ticket expensive?

Sarah: Not too bad—about 500 dollars. Considering it was a direct flight, I think it was fairlyplutôtfairly reasonableraisonnable.

John: Where did you stay?

Sarah: In a boutique hotel in Manhattan. The decor was charming, and the location was idealidéal. The rooms were a bit small, though, which is typical for New York.

John: How much did it cost?

Sarah: Around 200 dollars per night. It wasn’t cheap, but I guess you pay for the conveniencel'aspect pratique.

John: How did you get around?

Sarah: Mostlyprincipalement by subway. The metro system is very efficientefficace, and a weekly metro card only cost 33 dollars.

John: What were the highlights of your trip?

Sarah: Visiting the Statue of Liberty was a dream come true. The view from the top was awe-inspiringépoustouflant. Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset was also magical.

John: That sounds amazing. Was there anything disappointingdécevant?

Sarah: Yes, the linesfiles d'attente at the Empire State Building were ridiculous. We waited over two hours to get in, and by the time we reached the top, we were too tired to enjoy it properly.

John: That’s a pity. How many photos did you take?

Sarah: I’d say at least 300! Everywhere you look, there’s something worth photographing—architecture, parks, street art… you name it.
